Advanced Applications

Gargle – a blend of pure essential oils mixed into water with a dispersant or emulsifiers.  Indicated for colds, viral and bacterial throat infections, sore throat, toothache, halitosis, dental problems, gingivitis, laryngitis and pharyngitis.

Lozenge – a useful application method for respiratory complaints.  A single drop of a suitable essential oil is placed onto a chewable tablet (e.g. 500 mg vitamin C tablet) and allowed to dissolve slowly.  Can be beneficial for sore throats, colds, throat or sinus infections, laryngitis etc.

Aromatic Perfusion – involves the concentrated application of 100% pure essential oils via a localised area of skin, usually the back or the soles of the feet.  Aimed to assist chronic or acute infections, general fatigue and exhaustion, acute muscular spasm or pain, and at the very onset of a cold or flu.

Reflex Points – uses the application of diluted or undiluted essential oils to stimulate reflex points on the feet that correspond to particular organs and bodily structures.  Indicated for the treatment of colds, upper and lower respiratory infections, reproductive disorders, urinary infections, hormonal imbalance, influenza, ear infections, digestive complaints, adrenal exhaustion and back pain.
